Our Story
Born from a broken moment in healthcare.
A family member arrived at an emergency room unconscious. The care team was skilled, the equipment was ready, and the room was set. But the records were not. For the next eleven minutes, nurses made phone calls and asked questions that nobody present could answer: current medications, known allergies, prior procedures, primary care provider. Eleven minutes where every second mattered and every second was spent gathering information instead of delivering care.
That moment became eLife.

- 2021
Founded
eLife was born after a family health emergency exposed a critical gap: a patient arrived at the ER with no health records, and the care team spent precious minutes gathering information instead of delivering care.
- 2022
eLife Summary launched
The first QR-coded emergency health profile — paired with a physical wristband — gave patients a way to carry their complete health story wherever they go.
- 2023
eLife Clinical introduced
Practice-level dashboards for primary care providers arrived, eliminating intake paperwork and putting appointment-ready patient summaries in front of every clinician.
- 2024
HL7 / FHIR integration suite
Native HL7 v2 and FHIR R4 connectors launched alongside eLife's first hospital system partnerships, enabling two-way data flow with major EHR vendors.
- 2025
eLife Insight + Connect released
Population analytics and the EHR integration layer completed the platform. eLife reached 50,000 patients across its individual and clinical tiers.
- 2026
Enterprise platform launch
The full suite — from a single patient's emergency profile to a health system's population dashboard — unified under one enterprise contract and one integration team.
